Abstract:Rupture of lenticulostriate artery (LSA) aneurysm is a rare cause of deep intracerebral hemorrhage, but its hemorrhage events often lead to poor prognosis. With the improvement of imaging technology, the detection rate of LSA aneurysms has gradually increased. However, its etiology and natural course of the disease are still not completely clear, and the treatment strategy is still controversial. At present, most of the related studies are described by case reports and small case series representing the experience of individual surgeons, and there is still a lack of relevant summary articles. Therefore, the advances in LSA aneurysms and their treatment strategies are summarized as follows.
