Abstract:Objective To study the early remission factors of prolactinomas after transsphenoidal surgery. Methods The clinical data of 47 patients with prolactinoma who underwent endoscopic endonasal transsphenoidal surgery in our hospital from January 2018 to December 2018 were collected retrospectively. According to the PRL level one month after the surgery, they were divided into early remission group and non-remission group. The clinical data of the two groups were compared and logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the early remission factors. Results Of the 47 patients with prolactin type, 27(57.4%) had early biochemical remission and 20(42.6%) had no remission. There was significant difference in PRL before and immediately after operation between early remission group and non-remission group (p < 0.05) . Using univariate Logistic regression analysis, sex, tumor size, tumor invasiveness, PRL before surgery, PRL immediately after surgery were associated with early remission, however, only tumor invasion and PRL were independent risk factors for early postoperative remission in multivariate Logistic regression analysis. Conclusion PRL levels immediately after surgery and tumor invasiveness were independent risk factors for early remission of prolactin-type pituitary tumors after transsphenoidal surgery.
