Abstract:Objective To evaluate the significance and value of 3D slicer software in endoscopic transnasal transsphenoidal resection of sellar tumors. Methods A total of 60 patients with sellar region tumors who underwent endonasal transsphenoidal surgery in our hospital from July 2017 to July 2021 were analyzed retrospectively. According to whether 3D slicer software was used for auxiliary function, they were divided into observation group (assisted by 3D software, n = 30) and control group (simple endoscopic transnasal transsphenoidal approach, n = 30). The extent of tumor resection, operation time, intraoperative bleeding, hormone level improvement and postoperative complications were compared between the two groups. Results All patients underwent the operation safely, and no serious complications occurred after operation. The observation group was better than the control group in the amount of intraoperative bleeding, operation time and hospital stay (P < 0.05). The remission rate of endocrine disorder and visual impairment after operation in the observation group is better than that in the control group, and has significant advantages (P < 0.05). Conclusion 3D slicer software assisted endoscopic transnasal transsphenoidal approach for resection of sellar tumors can achieve high-precision preoperative planning, which is conducive to shortening the operation time, high operation safety and reducing the incidence of postoperative complications, It has good practical value and clinical significance.
